Following the first Congress of the European Airsoft Federation, the EAF enters its next phase with a newly installed Executive Board. The Board brings together experience from across Europe and reflects the Federation’s ambition to combine legal structure, sport development, communication, safety and international cooperation.
Mr. Alex Leenders, from the Netherlands, represents the institutional continuity of the EAF. As president, his focus is on building the Federation from an idea into a stable European organization: legally sound, democratically grounded and credible towards public authorities. His leadership style reflects the EAF’s central message that recognition must be earned through structure, responsibility and steady progress. Mr. Leenders has been the president of the Dutch Federation for over 10 years which under his leadership has grown to become the largest airsoft federation in Europe.
Mr. Daniel Filemon, from Romania has been selected as Vice-President of the EAF. He brings a strong focus on formal recognition, governance and organized competition. As a national federation leader, he understands the importance of clear rules, official structures and practical results. His contribution strengthens the EAF’s work on sport development and the position of airsoft before public authorities.
Mr. Dženis Imširović, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, brings a background in education, communication and federation-building. As secretary, His experience in organizing national structures and connecting clubs gives the Board a strong community and developmental perspective.
Mr. Samuel Šulek, Slovakia, adds a new generation of leadership to the EAF. With experience in national sport recognition and cybersecurity, he brings a practical understanding of modern federation risks and opportunities to the treasury. As treasurer his perspective is especially valuable in a time when the EAF must communicate transparently, responsibly and professionally.
Together, the Executive Board will work to strengthen member cooperation, support national federations, develop European standards and promote airsoft as a safe, organized and recognized sport community.
