Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using this website. They govern access to and use of the public website, its content and public submission features operated by the European Airsoft Federation (EAF). Separate statutes, regulations, policies, account terms or written agreements may apply to members, officials, partners, events and protected services. If those documents conflict with these Terms for a specific EAF relationship, the more specific document prevails.

1. About the EAF and this website

The EAF is a European federation supporting cooperation, responsible organisation, safety, governance and sport development in airsoft. This website provides general information, news, calendars, publications, directories, country guidance, media and access points for EAF services. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean the EAF.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

By using the website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website. If you use the website for a federation, organisation or other legal person, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it. You must comply with laws that apply where you are located and where an activity takes place. A parent or legal guardian remains responsible for a minor’s use where required by law.

3. Information only — verify before acting

Unless expressly stated otherwise in a signed EAF document, website content is general information and is not legal, regulatory, customs, tax, insurance, medical, safety, technical or travel advice. It is not a substitute for professional advice, official rules, permits, instructions from organisers or information from competent authorities.

Airsoft laws and requirements vary by country and can change without notice. Country overlays, federation directory entries, energy limits, age limits, equipment rules, travel and customs information are provided as a courtesy and may be outdated, incorrect, incomplete, simplified or inapplicable to a particular situation. Always confirm current requirements with the host nation, relevant national federation, carrier, insurer, event organiser, customs service, police and other competent local authorities before travelling, importing, exporting, transporting, possessing or using airsoft equipment.

4. Airsoft, event and safety risks

Airsoft and related travel, training and events involve inherent risks. Website content does not certify that any activity, venue, organiser, product, protective equipment or rule set is safe, lawful, insured or suitable. You remain responsible for assessing risk, obtaining appropriate instruction, permissions and insurance, using suitable protective equipment, following manufacturer instructions and obeying applicable law and organiser rules. An EAF listing, calendar entry, news item, sanction reference or link is not a guarantee, endorsement or assumption of operational responsibility unless the EAF expressly states otherwise in writing.

5. Accuracy, availability and changes

We take reasonable care when maintaining the website, but do not promise that content is complete, current, accurate, error-free or continuously available. Information supplied by member federations, event organisers, partners, public bodies and other third parties remains their responsibility. Dates, links, files, translations and services may change or be removed. Machine-assisted translations are provided for convenience; the English version is the principal website language and a translation may be incomplete, inaccurate or visually imperfect.

We may correct, update, suspend, restrict or withdraw any part of the website without notice. We do not guarantee compatibility with every device, browser, accessibility tool or network.

6. Accounts and protected services

User Portal and administrator access is personal to the authorised account holder. Keep credentials confidential, use a unique password, sign out on shared devices and notify the EAF promptly if an account or device may be compromised. You may not share, sell, transfer, probe or circumvent access. The EAF may suspend or end access to protect users, data, the Federation or the service, or when authorisation ends. Account activity may be logged for security and accountability as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Permitted use

You may browse the public website and download materials made available for that purpose for lawful personal, journalistic, educational or internal organisational use, subject to any notice attached to the material. You may link to a public page in a fair and lawful way that does not imply an endorsement or relationship that does not exist.

You must not:

• use the website unlawfully, fraudulently, deceptively or in a way that endangers people or property;
• misrepresent EAF approval, membership, sanctioning, partnership, accreditation or official status;
• interfere with security, availability, access controls, rate limits, accounts or other users;
• introduce malware, executable code, automated abuse, excessive traffic or unauthorised scraping;
• collect personal data from the website without a lawful basis or use directory data for unsolicited marketing;
• copy, alter or redistribute protected material beyond applicable law, an open licence or written permission; or
• publish content that is unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing, misleading, unsafe or invasive of privacy.

8. Submissions and messages

If you submit an event, news proposal, message, file, image, profile update or other material, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it, and that its use will not violate law or third-party rights. Do not submit confidential, classified, export-controlled, unlawful or unnecessary personal information.

You grant the EAF a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, review, format, translate, reproduce and publish submitted material to the extent reasonably necessary to administer the request and, where approved, communicate it through EAF channels. You retain ownership of your material. The EAF may reject, edit, postpone, unpublish or remove material and is not obliged to publish a submission. You remain responsible for claims or loss caused by unlawful material you knowingly or negligently provide, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Intellectual property and EAF identity

Unless a page or file states otherwise, the website design, EAF name and visual identity, original text, graphics, databases and software are owned by or licensed to the EAF and are protected by intellectual-property law. National federation, partner, sponsor, product and platform names and logos belong to their respective owners. No licence to use an EAF mark, imply endorsement or create derivative branding is granted by ordinary website access. Requests for reuse should be sent to the EAF Office.

10. Downloads, links and third-party content

Downloads are provided for convenience. Check the version, authenticity and suitability of a file before relying on it, and use current device and email security. Although the EAF applies upload restrictions and reasonable controls, no online transmission or file can be guaranteed free of malicious or harmful content.

The website may link to national federations, event organisers, authorities, commercial organisations, social networks and other independent sites. It may also display externally hosted video from services such as YouTube, Vimeo or Dailymotion after you choose to load it. Third parties control their content, availability, accessibility, security, cookies and processing of personal data. A link or embed does not make the EAF responsible for the third party or constitute endorsement unless expressly stated. Review the third party’s terms and privacy information before using its service.

11. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the public website and its content are supplied “as available” and without express or implied guarantees of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, legal compliance in a particular country or a particular outcome. Nothing on the website creates a professional-adviser, organiser-participant, insurer-insured, employment, agency or partnership relationship.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the EAF and its officers, staff, volunteers and representatives are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, revenue, goodwill or data, or loss arising from reliance on general website content, unavailable services, third-party content, a rejected or delayed submission, or a user’s failure to verify official requirements.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the loss that was reasonably foreseeable and directly caused by the EAF’s proven failure, taking into account the free and informational nature of the public service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where exclusion or restriction is prohibited by mandatory law, including liability for intent or deliberate recklessness where applicable, nor does it remove mandatory rights available to consumers.

13. Privacy and cookies

Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy. Device storage, optional analytics and external media are explained in the Cookie Policy. You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer at any time.

14. Suspension and enforcement

We may restrict content, block abusive traffic, reject a submission, suspend an account or preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary to protect the website, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law or enforce EAF rules. Serious or unlawful activity may be reported to the competent authority.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the website, EAF activities or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated. Material changes will be communicated reasonably through the website or protected service. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means the revised Terms apply to later use; this does not retroactively remove accrued rights.

16. Dutch law and disputes

These Terms and use of the website are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory protections that apply under the law of a user’s country of habitual residence. The parties should first try to resolve a concern in good faith by contacting the EAF Office. Subject to mandatory rules on jurisdiction, disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

17. General provisions

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. These Terms do not give rights to a third party except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
