EAF-Sanctioned Events
EAF-sanctioned events are activities recognised under the authority of the European Airsoft Federation. Sanctioning means that an event is organised within an agreed framework of safety, governance, participation rules and post-event reporting.
Sanctioning does not mean that every event becomes a European Championship. The EAF distinguishes between mature championship formats, pilot events, Grand Prix-style formats and community events. This protects the credibility of European titles and allows new formats to develop responsibly.
A tiered model should be used: European Championships for mature competitive formats, Grand Prix events for emerging formats, and European Community Events for larger cultural or scenario-based events with lighter recognition and safety framing.
Host an EAF Sanctioned Event
National federations and approved organisers may apply to host EAF-sanctioned events. Hosting an EAF sanctioned event requires more than a field and a date. Among other things, it requires a credible safety plan, clear rules, qualified officials, referees and/or marshals, insurance arrangements, first-aid preparation, participant management.
For major events, the EAF requires a bid book and host agreement. The purpose is not to overregulate organisers, but to ensure that every EAF event protects the credibility of the Federation and the safety of participants.
Minimum required information:
- Venue and layout information
- Permit and local authority information
- Field risk assessment plan
- Safety, first-aid and calamity information
- Insurance and liability information
- Officiating / Referee information
- Incident reporting information
