Rights & Responsibilities
Membership of the European Airsoft Federation creates both rights and responsibilities. The EAF is a federation of national organizations, commercial supporters and honorary contributors, each with a different role within the European airsoft community. These rights and responsibilities are defined in Chapter 2 of the EAF Articles of Association.
Full Members
Full Members are national airsoft organizations that represent airsoft within their country. Each Full Member appoints one delegate to represent its national organization within the EAF. Through this delegate, Full Members participate in the democratic life of the Federation.
Full Members have the right to attend Congress through their appointed delegate and one additional representative. They may participate in and vote at Congress, stand for positions within the Federation, propose amendments to the constitution and regulations, and be eligible to host Federation-sanctioned events and activities. Full Members may also access EAF resources, support and development programs, and must be heard if they are subject to disciplinary proceedings or measures.
Associate Members
Associate Members are commercial entities that support the policies of the Federation and are of good standing. They may attend Congress and meetings as observers, participate in Federation-sanctioned events and activities, be eligible to host Federation-sanctioned events and activities, and access promotional and marketing platforms of the Federation.
Associate Members do not have voting rights. They cannot submit proposals to Congress and do not have access to financial documents. If you wish to become an associate member, please contact the EAF via sponsorship@airsofteurope.eu
Honorary Members
Honorary Members are individuals recognized for significant contributions to European airsoft. They may be acknowledged at Federation events and communications and may attend Congress and meetings as honorary guests.
Honorary Members do not have voting rights. They cannot submit proposals to Congress and do not have access to financial documents.
Responsibilities of All Members
All EAF members are expected to uphold and promote the objectives and values of the Federation. Members must actively participate in and contribute to the development of airsoft within their scope, adhere to EAF regulations and decisions, and maintain transparent and democratic internal governance.
This means that membership is not only a formal status. It is a commitment to responsible cooperation, good governance, safety, fair play and the development of airsoft as a credible European sport and recreational activity.
Rules and National Autonomy
The EAF respects the autonomy of national associations in local rule-setting. Standardized EAF rules apply only to Federation-organized events and must comply with the regulations of the host country. At the same time, national associations must adhere to the minimum safety standards as defined by the EAF.
This balance allows national organizations to operate within their own legal and cultural context, while supporting common European standards where cooperation, safety and official EAF activities require them.
Obligations of Full Members
Full Members must comply with the Articles of Association, regulations and decisions adopted by the Federation bodies, even if the member organization was absent from the meeting where those decisions were adopted. They must also pay the established membership fee and any other financial costs in accordance with the Articles and decisions of the Federation bodies.
Full Members must maintain contact with the Board and respond to requests in a timely manner. They must inform the Federation of new delegates or withdrawn delegates, and provide any other information necessary for the proper functioning of the Federation.
Full Members must also respect the confidentiality policy established by Congress. They may not represent their national organization as acting on behalf of the EAF unless the Federation has granted or requested permission to do so.
Continuing Standards
Full Members are subject to a biennial evaluation. During this evaluation, they must continue to meet criteria including active national presence, the organization of structured events or championships, democratic governance and contribution to the mission of the Federation.
These continuing standards help ensure that the EAF remains a federation of active, accountable and representative national organizations.
Annual Contributions
Members are required to pay an annual contribution determined by Congress. For 2026 the contribution amount is EUR 500,-
