National Recognition Support
The European Airsoft Federation supports member federations in their efforts to achieve recognition for airsoft at national level. Across Europe, airsoft is regulated, understood and organized in different ways. In some countries, airsoft is already recognized as a structured sport or sporting activity; in others, national organizations are still working to explain its safety, governance and social value to public authorities.
The EAF helps strengthen these national efforts by providing a credible European framework. This includes shared standards, governance principles, safety-oriented language, examples from other countries, sport-development models and institutional support where appropriate. The objective is to help member federations demonstrate that airsoft is not an unmanaged activity, but an organized, accountable and self-regulating sport community.
Supporting National Federations
Recognition is always shaped by national law and national institutions. The EAF does not replace national federations and does not decide how airsoft is regulated within individual countries. Its role is to support, connect and strengthen national organizations by giving them access to European experience, common arguments and a wider institutional voice.
Where useful, the EAF may assist member federations with position papers, letters of support, policy explanations, safety frameworks, event standards and examples of good governance. This can help national organizations engage constructively with ministries, sport authorities, municipalities, police authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
A Responsible European Framework
For public authorities, recognition depends on trust. Airsoft must be able to show that it is safe, organized, transparent and capable of internal discipline. The EAF therefore promotes clear safety procedures, trained officials, responsible event organization, structured rulebooks, democratic governance and incident-aware learning.
By developing common standards and supporting national federations, the EAF helps present airsoft as a serious European sport and recreational activity. The aim is not to make every country identical, but to ensure that airsoft across Europe can speak with greater clarity, credibility and unity.
Recognition through Unity. Teamplay. Sport.
National recognition is strongest when European airsoft stands together. Through Unity, member federations show that they are part of a wider European movement. Through Teamplay, they share knowledge, experience and practical support. Through Sport, they demonstrate safety, structure, fair play and accountability.
The EAF’s ambition is to help every member federation build the strongest possible case for the recognition, protection and responsible development of airsoft in its own country.
