Member Federations

Become a Member Federation

A practical route for national bodies seeking to join the European federation network.

Become a Member Federation

The European Airsoft Federation is a federation of national airsoft organizations. Full membership is intended for national organizations that unite and represent a substantial part of airsoft in their country and support the goals, policies and objectives of the EAF.

Who can apply?

A national airsoft organization may apply for Full Membership if it is an association or federation that is non-profit, dedicated to airsoft, and capable of being recognized by the EAF as the primary national entity for airsoft in its country. Only one national organization per country can be admitted as a Full Member of the Federation.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate democratic governance, active promotion of airsoft as a sport, independence from external political or governmental influence, and adherence to the EAF Statutes and regulations. The Statutes also state that national organizations ideally organize national championships, maintain a register of active athletes, and operate democratically.

What membership means

Full Members participate in the Congress of the EAF through an appointed delegate. They may vote at Congress, stand for positions within the Federation, propose amendments to the statutes and regulations, host Federation-sanctioned events, access EAF resources and development programs, and be heard in disciplinary matters.

Membership also carries responsibilities. All members must uphold and promote the objectives and values of the Federation, actively contribute to the development of airsoft within their scope, adhere to EAF regulations and decisions, and maintain transparent and democratic internal governance.

Application procedure

Applications for Full Membership must be submitted in writing or electronically to the EAF at least ninety days before Congress. The application must include a commitment to respect the Articles of Association, the decisions of the Federation bodies, and any other requirements approved by the Federation.

The Board considers the application and submits it to Congress at least thirty days before the next meeting. Membership is granted by Congress with a majority of fifty-one percent of the votes cast by member organizations present at Congress. Full membership rights apply from the date of the vote and upon receipt of full payment of member contributions.

Continuing membership standards

Full Members are expected to remain active and accountable. The Statutes provide for a biennial evaluation of Full Members against criteria including active national presence, the organization of structured events or championships, democratic governance, and contribution to the mission of the Federation.

The EAF respects national autonomy. National associations retain authority over local rules, while standardized rules apply to Federation-organized events and must comply with host-country regulations. At the same time, members must adhere to minimum safety standards as defined by Federation guidelines
