What is Skirm
A realistic battle between two teams
In skirm, two teams compete against each other in a realistic setting. This can take place indoors or outdoors. The objective is to eliminate your opponent and complete your mission.
What makes skirm enjoyable is that it is a tactical game. Good cooperation and strategy increase your team’s chances of success and reduce the chance of being eliminated yourself.
Re-enacting historical battles
A popular element within skirm is the re-enactment of historical battles. Players can, for example, recreate the Battle of Dien Bien Phu from the Vietnam War or the Battle of El Alamein from the Second World War.
Here too, you play against another team and there is a winner. In this way, a historical battle can have a different outcome, allowing players to “rewrite” history.
Play safely and responsibly
Naturally, skirm is subject to safety rules and regulations. Because of the competitive element, compliance with the rules is strictly monitored. This is done by marshals, who act as referees. Eye protection must be worn at all times, except in a safety zone designated by the organiser.
Accessible to new players
Skirm is highly accessible. No prior experience or special training is required. Most organisers offer rental kits to new Airsoft enthusiasts. Some locations where Skirm is organised even offer beginner skirms.
